Privacy Policy
Effective date: not yet launched — draft for review
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information Vector collects when you use our website and Service, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account data | Email address, hashed password | Create and secure your account |
| Connected credentials | Read-only exchange API keys, public wallet addresses | Compute your portfolio's momentum score |
| Usage data | Pages viewed, alerts configured, device/browser type | Operate and improve the Service |
| Payment data | Billing details (handled by our payment processor, not stored by us) | Process subscription payments |
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
- To compute the momentum scores, alerts, and portfolio vectors you request.
- To communicate with you about your account, including service and security notices.
- To improve the Service based on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
4. What we don't do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not have withdrawal access to any wallet or exchange account you connect, and we do not request it.
5. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Vector (hosting, email delivery, payment processing), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period after closure as required for legal, tax, or security purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@usevector.org.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege API scopes — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any available account protections.
10. Children's privacy
Vector is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change, and post the new effective date at the top.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to contact@usevector.org.
