Terms of Service

Effective date: not yet launched — draft for review

This is a draft template prepared ahead of launch. It has not been reviewed by qualified legal counsel and should not be relied on as your final Terms of Service — have a lawyer review and localize it (particularly the custody, licensing, and liability sections) before it governs real accounts or funds.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, connecting an API key or wallet address, or otherwise using Vector ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Vector is

Vector is a market analytics tool. It computes a momentum score and directional signal from public order-flow, volatility, and on-chain data. Vector is non-custodial: it does not hold, control, or have withdrawal access to your crypto assets unless you separately and explicitly grant a connected execution partner that permission.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing on Vector — including the momentum score, portfolio vectors, alerts, or any other output — is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Crypto assets are volatile and can lose some or all of their value. You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service may not be available in every jurisdiction; you are responsible for confirming that your use of Vector complies with the laws that apply to you.

5. Accounts, API keys and wallets

  • You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and any API keys you connect.
  • You must only connect API keys scoped to read-only access. Vector is not responsible for losses caused by connecting a key with trading or withdrawal permissions.
  • You may disconnect any connected account or wallet at any time from your settings.

6. Fees

Certain tiers of the Service (see Pricing) require a subscription fee, billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use Vector to violate any law, infringe on the rights of others, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the Service at scale, or interfere with its normal operation.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vector and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including trading losses, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account that violates these terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@usevector.org.
